In a surprising partnership that challenges conventional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Revealed

According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The plot features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden group.

The questline concentrates on "strange tests and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Metamorphoses

The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Additional Content

Players who finish the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana together with multiple objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
