It's a challenge for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The highest peaks have already been conquered.

We're talking about the unit that has won seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to six more T20 titles, and once went nearly four years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, targeted by the record chasers, are all that remain for a squad that has won it all.

The fact it required as late as Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the largest in the female 50-over format, is, frankly, a testament to the pitchers that have represented Australia over the past 50 years.

It is hard for their batters to hold a record if not afforded the possibility.

Finally, the consequence of Australia giving up 330 runs was skipper Alyssa Healy getting an opportunity to produce her newest gem.

Many contend the argument supporting final game tension. Different voices suggest with the difficulty that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What is certain is this ton was considerably tougher to see coming.

"A chance to take the field and engage in competition with her and merely enjoy the moment in that aspect, somewhat inspired me," stated Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 balls - her quickest at the global tournament - and her hundred in 84 balls as she punished short deliveries, hitting 21 fours and three sixes.

By the time she was out the team needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - an achievable target now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Pursuing 330 is uncharted waters so I'm happy we have the confidence to achieve that now," stated Healy further.

"Ideally we won't need to do it again but, if necessary, we believe we can succeed."

These statements will be the last Australia's opponents at this championship should hear.

In recent days a belief they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this triumph coming after success over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite being 76-7 at one point.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against longtime competitors England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final berth may well be secure.
