From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a diverse cast of heroes, and a gripping narrative featuring angels, fiends, and malevolent powers growing in influence within the city.

The Soldiers Table Revealed
Episode 3 ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the first table of heroes who will separate from the central cast to begin their independent quest, separate from the remaining groups.
This warrior group includes Teor (played by the voice actor), the agile character (the talented performer), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).
Why Split the Party?
With 13 cast members, it was clear from the start that having everyone at the same party would be unworkable.
That’s why, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, intertwining the personal journeys before splitting into three separate parties: Soldiers, Schemers, and Explorers.
What Defines the Combat Party
According to the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense fight-heavy narrative style where non-violent answers are rare.
Upon first impression, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might look out of place, but the actions of episode 3 show why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.
Why They Must Go
First, the party knows exactly where to head next after a violent initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose demise initiated the campaign’s events—manipulated the enemy for his selfish purposes, entering the secret base, attacking the character, and taking all the powerful objects to auction.
The antagonist then paid off his obligations and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, above the urban center, with Teor’s brother close behind.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each member has a individual motive to depart Dol-Makjar:
- Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, wants retribution.
- The knowledgeable figure is familiar with the region and warns that it is a dangerous environment.
- The warrior and Wicander, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
- But, their status as important members in House Halovar could help the group access locations they usually can’t.
- Additionally, The grateful character pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his salvation and will now go with him everywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Finally, all of them are sought by the powers that rule Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making staying in the city dangerous:
- Thimble and The character are known criminals.
- The warrior and The healer betrayed House Halovar and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
- Teor is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.
This means them no alternative but to head to the northern region in quest for the traitor.
What’s Next?
Based on episode three’s follow-up content, we find out that the combat party will be absent the following episode, leaving the rest of the participants to form the Explorers and Schemers tables.
