An extensive 60-day cruise through the Land Down Under was terminated following the tragic passing of an older woman who was left behind by the cruise liner on a remote coastal location.

The passenger had been hiking on the remote island with other travelers from the Coral Adventurer, but parted ways from the party for a break. The ship sailed away leaving her and returned after some time after the crew discovered the woman was missing.

An extensive rescue mission discovered her body the next day.

Officials are looking into the tragedy, alongside law enforcement and the official investigator.

Chief Executive of the cruise operator stated that travelers and staff on the ship were notified that the rest of the voyage had been called off due to the "tragic passing and previous mechanical issues".
