Lando Norris Secures Debut F1 World Title in Yas Marina Despite Max Verstappen's Race Victory.
In a display of brave racing, Lando Norris has sealed his first Formula One world championship by taking P3 at the season finale in Abu Dhabi. A podium was sufficient for the 26-year-old driver, even though Red Bull's Max Verstappen won the race and his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri finished in second.

His first season with the Scuderia had been greeted with enthusiasm but produced what was easily his worst season ever, ending up sixth in the championship and failing to secure a top-three finish. He has looked weary in the closing races and will look to reset over the off-season.
