Liverpool's Star Offers Apology to Squad, Says Curtis Jones
Jones has shared that the Egyptian forward expressed regret to the group of players after the fallout from his recent interview.

He was omitted from a vital match subsequent to making accusations and suggesting his relationship with manager had broken down.
“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, I'm sorry.’”
The manager has refused to comment publicly on whether he was apologised to from the 33-year-old forward.
Moving Forward
Jones insisted that the dressing room atmosphere stayed normal. “Nothing about him changed, he had a big smile on his face and it was business as usual,” the midfielder explained.
He also noted that a player's desire to start is a positive trait. “I get that there are different methods you can go about things,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just not start, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”
Positive Results
The team's performance have stayed unbeaten in the period after the initial controversy. He feels the Salah's words were not designed to destabilise the squad.
“When there’s been any sort of anger, the source has been from a good place,” Jones concluded. “We’re past that now and we’re gelling well as a team, playing well and on a positive run.”
