NFL 2025 season: Week six

Live coverage includes live text of Sunday's games via multiple platforms, beginning with the Broncos-Jets clash in London (from 14:00 BST). Additionally, audio coverage can be heard on designated networks for a separate game (beginning at 9 PM BST).

It's week six of the NFL season , following last week's talk regarding the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles being possible championship contenders, they both surrendered their unbeaten records.

Notable during those contests were the amount of infractions both conceded. Philadelphia committed them in key moments so they kind of defeated themselves after leading 17-3 entering the fourth period against the Denver Broncos, who play overseas this Sunday.

But it proved good to observe that Denver quarterback the rookie was able to overcome the shortfall and then lead three scoring drives on three possessions during the final period, to win the game 21-17.

The Broncos have the top defender with cornerback their star corner. They are first in red zone defence, while the Eagles are number one in scoring near the end zone, and the Broncos prevailed in that contest.

They executed the Eagles' number in terms of disguised blitzes. They did not necessarily sending extra defenders but they could position two LBs in the 'A' gap before withdrawing them and send a nickel from the outside.

At the start of the season, it was noted during a show that the Broncos could be the current year's dark horses. They ended the previous year strongly then excelled in continuing that momentum.

Could Denver be this season's dark horses?

New tight end their tight end has stepped up significantly while new running back their rusher is a player the team trusts. He now ranks 5th league-wide for rushing yards (402) and tied-fourth in rushing scores (four).

I love that head coach the Broncos' leader displays "RUN IT!" prominently on his call sheet.

This demonstrates that Denver represent a team aiming to run first, because you can achieve much based on that approach. It slows opposing rushes while keeps you in positive down and distances.

This has helped quarterback Bo Nix, who entered into the league as a first-round selection in the prior draft, passing for 29 TDs – second only to a star QB for the rookie record (31 back in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert have the arm strength to pass anywhere, but they lack the mobility as Nix. He boasts incredible passing ability, which is different, and he's highly agile.

His strengths are his movement, being able to throw on the run, as well as using varied release points to deliver the pass when he rolls outside protection, on rollouts. He can deliver that layered pass over the middle and past defenders.

For a young quarterback, aged 25, he displays a lot of composure in the pocket and is not really fazed by extra rushers. He tries to evade a sack as much as possible and can pass in tight spots. He has a high football IQ and remains very decisive.

If you constantly run the ball it consumes the clock and makes the opponent to be on the field extended periods, and when you have a mobile QB the defense has to cover the field downfield and horizontally. This proves exhausting.

Nix has bitten back at Payton on the sideline at times and I think Payton appreciates that attitude, seeing him as such a competitor. In my view it's exciting for him to have a rookie QB that is similar to play-dough. The coach can truly build something up how he desires to build it. I believe it's a special experience for him.

The head coach owns a Super Bowl and has passed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173, tying for 14th). He has witnessed everything. I think the achievements Denver are experiencing offensively is largely due to his guidance, his schemes, his game sense – and the combination with the QB aids make him into who he is.

There's no better a better guy in your ear, to help you through difficult moments and boost confidence.

I have faith in the Broncos' defense, in the QB's grit and calm. Yet are they strong enough to go against a top squad at full strength? Because that wasn't championship-level play from Philadelphia last Sunday.

Currently, it's unlikely the Broncos are incredible. They're performing better than most, that's a good place to be in their division. All they need to do is maintain this path.

They excel at leaning into their forte, which is running the ball, and that's precisely what they should do against the New York Jets in London. It will likely be the JK Dobbins show, essentially.

New York have surrendered 140 yards on the ground per game (sixth worst), five ground scores so far (in the bottom ten), and they are the sole squad without a win a game.

Since the league began tracking turnovers decades ago, this team are the inaugural squad to be without any turnovers through five games, this is surprising considering that the head coach Aaron Glenn defensive co-ordinator with another team.

The Chiefs' QB stated Kansas City have 'already lost too many games' following Monday's defeat to Jacksonville.

Following the upcoming matchup, Denver face a smooth-ish schedule up to their break (in week 12) - the Giants, Dallas Cowboys, the Texans and Las Vegas Raiders prior to the Chiefs.

Looking at their division, Kansas City hold a losing record while Denver are tied with the Chargers at 3-2 meaning they could make a run for the top of the West.

It depends upon which form Kansas City shows up they meet because the Broncos {beat|def
